Field Project Manager - Complex Renovation

LVI is proud to be partnered with a leading general contractor specializing in large commercial and multifamily renovations and new construction across Washington, DC. Their latest high-rise renovation project includes a full renovation, restoration, and adaptive reuse of an obsolete office building into modern housing. This is one of many unique projects that require removal, restoration, renovation, and addition, as part of Mayor Bowsers Housing in Downtown initiative. This company are known for completing complex construction projects and are recognised locally as a go-to general contractor for particluarly challenging projects.
They are now seeking a self-sufficient Field Project Manager to work closely with their senior project manager overseeing on-site operations and coordination for this project and a range of others.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day field operations for a high-rise renovation project in Downtown DC
- Coordinate MEP and other subcontractors to ensure seamless execution
- Maintain project schedules, quality standards, and safety compliance
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders
- Work from a temporary on-site office, with dedicated office space available as needed
Requirements
- Must be based within 45 minutes of Downtown DC (e.g., Arlington)
- Experience working for a recognized general contractor
- Proven experience managing commercial renovation and new construction projects from start to finish
- Strong familiarity with the DC construction market and local regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple subcontractors and trades
