A well‑established general contractor in the Portland area is seeking a skilled Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead complex infrastructure and site development projects. This opportunity is ideal for someone who values stability, long-term growth, and a strong commitment to quality and safety in the field.
Experience Needed
- 5+ years of project management experience within heavy civil construction.
- Proven background managing projects such as:
- Earthwork and grading
- Underground utilities (water, sewer, stormwater)
- Roadway construction
- Structural and site concrete
- Public agency or municipal infrastructure work
- History of successful delivery of projects on schedule and within budget.
- Ability to lead field operations, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Familiarity with project documentation, cost control, and risk mitigation.
- Experience working with regional agencies (ODOT, city/county) is a strong advantage.
Qualifications Needed
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, or P6.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
- Thorough understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites throughout the Portland metro area.
- Certifications such as OSHA 30, PMP, or CM-BIM are helpful but not required.
