Position Overview:
You will play a key role in the design and delivery of structural engineering projects while providing leadership and guidance to junior engineers and designers. The role offers a balance of technical design, project management, and mentorship responsibilities, allowing you to remain hands-on with engineering while developing future talent within the organisation.
You should be comfortable leading project teams, coordinating with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines, and overseeing projects through all phases of design and construction. This opportunity is ideal for an engineer looking to combine technical expertise with leadership responsibilities within a growing and collaborative environment.
Role and responsibilities:
- Lead structural design projects across a diverse portfolio of building projects.
- Balance hands-on engineering with project management and team leadership responsibilities.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines throughout project delivery.
- Review and guide the work of junior engineers while providing mentorship and technical support.
- Solve complex engineering challenges and ensure successful project execution from concept through construction.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- BS in Civil or Structural engineering
- A registered professional Engineer (PE)
- Experienced working in Revit and BIM 360
- Able to lead design teams, managing and delegating tasks assigned to other team members.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to work under pressure towards deadlines and maintain organisation throughout
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality project delivery
- Strong understanding of building components and systems of various materials.
