Substation Physical / P&C Engineer

We're looking for a Substation Engineer to join a collaborative team supporting high-voltage substation projects across the U.S. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful infrastructure initiatives, contributing to the design and execution of safe, efficient, and standards-compliant engineering solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing substation systems including physical layouts, protection and control schemes, and grounding plans
  • Creating detailed drawings such as one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment layouts
  • Supporting field engineering activities and conducting site assessments as needed
  • Coordinating with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to meet project goals
  • Reviewing vendor documentation and ensuring alignment with specifications and standards
  • Contributing to proposals and providing technical input for bids and estimates
  • Ensuring all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in substation design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar CAD platforms
  • Familiarity with standards such as IEEE, NESC, and NEC
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently
