Traffic Analyst (ORLANDO, TAMPA, OR JACKSONVILLE)
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret traffic data including volume counts, speed studies, and crash reports.
- Assist in the design and evaluation of traffic control devices such as signals, signs, and pavement markings.
- Conduct traffic impact studies and prepare technical reports and presentations.
- Support modeling and simulation of traffic flow using software such as Synchro, VISSIM, or HCS.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on roadway improvement projects.
- Review development plans for traffic-related impacts and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Stay current with local, state, and federal traffic engineering standards and regulations.
- Participate in public meetings and stakeholder engagement as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in traffic engineering or transportation planning.
- Proficiency in traffic analysis software (e.g., Synchro, SIDRA, AutoCAD, GIS).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of MUTCD, AASHTO, and FHWA guidelines.
- PE certification preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with traffic signal timing and coordination.
- Familiarity with roadway safety audits and Vision Zero principles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience working with public agencies or municipalities.
