Join a leading offshore wind developer as a Permitting Specialist, where you will be instrumental in navigating the regulatory landscape for offshore wind initiatives in Taiwan. In this role, you will manage the full permitting lifecycle, ensuring that all environmental and legal requirements are met to support the successful delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Permit Management: Drive the permitting process from initiation to approval, ensuring all applications comply with Taiwan's regulatory standards and timelines.
  • Regulatory Interface: Serve as the primary liaison with government agencies and permitting bodies, fostering strong relationships to facilitate smooth regulatory approvals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with relevant stakeholders and lead consultations to ensure all statutory and non-statutory obligations are fulfilled.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments-including Business Development, Project Development, and EPC teams-to integrate permitting strategies into overall project planning.
  • Regulatory Risk Oversight: Identify potential regulatory and environmental risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure alignment with international environmental and social frameworks.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Track and enforce compliance with permit conditions, ensuring all environmental and operational commitments are implemented effectively.
  • Global Coordination: Support international teams by providing insights into local permitting processes and contributing to global compliance strategies where applicable.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Renewable Energy, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Solid experience in permitting or regulatory affairs, ideally within offshore wind, renewable energy, or large infrastructure sectors.
  • Familiarity with international environmental and social standards (e.g., IFC, Equator Principles).
  • Strong ability to manage complex regulatory processes and engage constructively with authorities and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both English and Mandarin.
