Senior Project Manager
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with a strong architectural design background and expertise in existing buildings and building envelope systems. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives on the complexity of renovations, adaptive reuse, faรงade restoration, and envelope performance upgrades. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership, communication, and technical skills to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver high-quality architectural solutions for a variety of building types.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple projects focused on the assessment, restoration, and modernization of existing buildings and building envelopes.
Coordinate architectural design and technical development throughout all project phases-from concept through construction administration.
Oversee building envelope investigations, condition assessments, and remediation strategies, including roofing, waterproofing, faรงade restoration, and energy performance upgrades.
Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet client objectives, budgets, and schedules.
Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the life of the project.
Prepare and review project documentation, including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
Mentor and support junior staff, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and sustainability guidelines.
Assist with business development efforts, including proposal writing and interviews.
Qualifications
Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch); licensure preferred.
10+ years of experience, with a focus on existing buildings, building envelope systems, and design detailing.
Proven track record of successful project delivery in roles of increasing responsibility.
Strong technical knowledge in construction methods, building science, materials, and detailing.
Experience with historic preservation, adaptive reuse, or complex renovations is highly desirable.
Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage teams, consultants, budgets, and timelines effectively.
LEED accreditation, Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC), or other sustainability credentials a plus.
