BAS Sales Engineer
We are seeking an experienced BAS Sales professional to join a well-established building automation integrator serving the Greater Hartford, Connecticut area. This role combines technical sales, client engagement, and solution development across HVAC controls and building automation systems.

- Develop and maintain relationships with building owners, contractors, and consulting engineers
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Greater Hartford region
- Prepare and present tailored BAS and HVAC controls solutions
- Interpret project specifications, drawings, and sequences of operation
- Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to execution
- Manage proposals, pricing, and contract negotiations
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and contribute to forecasting activities
- Represent the organisation in meetings, site visits, and industry events
- Provide technical insight and guidance to clients throughout the sales cycle
- 5+ years of BAS or HVAC controls sales experience
- Strong understanding of building automation systems and HVAC controls
- Proven ability to develop and close technical sales opportunities
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to explain complex systems in a clear and practical way
- Previous hands-on or technical background in HVAC controls or building automation
- Willingness to travel locally and meet clients across the Greater Hartford area
- Experience working within plan and specification environments
- Familiarity with energy efficiency, optimisation, or retrofit projects
- Existing network within the Connecticut HVAC or controls market
- Exposure to service agreements or lifecycle solutions
- Building Automation Systems (BAS / BMS)
- DDC controls
- Platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Schneider Electric, or Honeywell
- Open protocols including BACnet and Modbus
Based in or around Greater Hartford, Connecticut. This role involves regular local travel to client sites, alongside a hybrid working arrangement.
A competitive overall package is on offer, including a guaranteed commission structure in the first year to support onboarding and pipeline development, alongside longer-term earning potential aligned to performance.
