Position Overview
We are partnering with a leading event production organization seeking a Chief Production Officer (CPO) to provide strategic leadership across production, operations, and client delivery. This executive will be responsible for driving operational excellence, scaling capabilities, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring the successful execution of complex live, virtual, and hybrid experiences.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader with extensive experience in event production, operations, and team management, who can balance strategic vision with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for all production and operational functions.
- Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams across production, technical services, project management, and onsite delivery.
- Drive operational efficiency, resource planning, and process improvements to support continued growth.
- Oversee departmental budgeting, forecasting, financial performance, and profitability.
- Ensure the successful execution of high-profile events while maintaining exceptional client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term business planning, growth initiatives, and organizational development.
- Support business development efforts by contributing to client presentations, proposals, and strategic planning discussions.
- Establish and maintain best practices, operational standards, and scalable processes throughout the organization.
- Mentor and develop future leaders while fostering a collaborative, performance-driven culture.
- Serve as a key executive stakeholder for major client engagements and critical projects.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience within event production, experiential marketing, live events, corporate communications, or a related industry.
- Significant leadership experience overseeing large teams, multiple departments, and complex project portfolios.
- Proven track record of managing budgets, financial performance, and operational strategy.
- Strong understanding of event production, technical production, logistics, and client service delivery.
- Experience leading organizational growth, process improvement, and team development initiatives.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution in a fast-moving environment.
