I'm currently working with a growing civil engineering firm that is planning to add a Civil Project Managers (7-10+ years of experience) to their team in the near future. They're specifically looking for individuals with a background in land development, commercial retail, and site design who are ready to take on more ownership and play a key role in project delivery and client growth.

The Opportunity

You'll step into a project leadership role, managing a diverse portfolio of land development projects while working closely with internal teams and external clients. With strong project demand and a growing backlog, they're looking for individuals who can own projects, mentor teams, and help scale operations.

What You'll Be Doing

Manage and deliver land development and site design projects from concept through construction
Oversee design of:
- Grading, drainage, and stormwater management systems
- Utility layouts and site infrastructure
- Commercial and retail site development projects
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, coordinating with developers, municipalities, and stakeholders
Lead project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
Review and approve design plans, reports, and technical deliverables
Mentor and guide junior engineers and EITs
Support and contribute to business development efforts, including:
- Maintaining and growing client relationships
- Assisting with proposals, RFP responses, and scope/fee development
- Identifying new opportunities within existing accounts

What They're Looking For

7-10+ years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on land development
Strong background in commercial, retail, and site development projects
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and standard design tools
Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and client relationships
Experience working directly with developers and local agencies
Someone who is both technical and client-facing, with an interest in helping grow the business
