Commissioning Project Manager
Location: Australia
A leading global consultant and ICA is seeking an experienced Data Centre Commissioning Program Manager to lead the delivery of hyperscale and large-scale data centre commissioning programs across the APAC region.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for a commissioning professional with strong program management capabilities, proven client-facing experience, and a track record of delivering complex data centre projects across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale data centre commissioning programs across APAC.
- Drive program governance, execution strategy, and consistent delivery standards across multiple projects.
- Oversee project performance, schedules, budgets, resource planning, quality, and risk management.
- Act as the primary client interface and senior escalation point for strategic accounts.
- Collaborate with technical leaders to ensure projects are adequately resourced and delivery teams are positioned for success.
- Manage program financial performance, forecasting, and reporting.
- Support business growth through strong client relationships and identification of new opportunities within existing accounts.
- Champion operational excellence, continuous improvement, and best-practice commissioning processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in commissioning, project delivery, or program management.
- Strong understanding of commissioning methodologies, systems integration, testing, and operational readiness.
- Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed teams and work within complex client environments.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to hyperscale, cloud, colocation, or mission-critical infrastructure environments.
- Experience working with major data centre operators, developers, or commissioning consultancies.
- PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project/program management certification.
- Experience delivering regional data centre programs across multiple APAC markets.
