Construction Administration Manager
Position Summary
A growing acoustical consulting firm is seeking a Construction Administration Manager to support the implementation of acoustical solutions from design through construction. This role combines construction documentation, 3D modeling, visualization, product coordination, procurement support, and installation oversight to ensure acoustical recommendations are successfully executed in the field.
The ideal candidate will have experience developing drawing packages, creating 3D models and renderings, coordinating with manufacturers and contractors, and managing project documentation throughout the project lifecycle. This position works closely with consultants, architects, designers, product suppliers, installers, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Documentation & Design Support
- Prepare and maintain acoustical drawing packages for project implementation.
- Develop floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), and installation details illustrating acoustical treatment requirements.
- Review architectural drawings, existing conditions, and project documents to support acoustical design solutions.
- Revise and maintain project documentation throughout design and construction phases.
- Assist in translating acoustical recommendations into clear construction-ready documents.
3D Modeling & Visualization
- Create 3D models and renderings of proposed acoustical treatments and room improvements.
- Develop models using LiDAR scans, existing building drawings, site photographs, and as-built documentation.
- Produce visual presentations and renderings to support client reviews and project decision-making.
- Assist with material layouts, design studies, and treatment alternatives.
Product Coordination & Procurement Support
- Coordinate with acoustical product manufacturers and suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times, technical data, and samples.
- Research and evaluate multiple product options that meet project performance objectives.
- Develop client-facing bid packages that include product specifications, pricing comparisons, and alternative solutions.
- Track vendor responses and assist with project budgeting and material selection efforts.
Construction Administration & Installation Oversight
- Coordinate with contractors and installers throughout project implementation.
- Review shop drawings, product submittals, and material specifications for compliance with project requirements.
- Verify that products are installed according to manufacturer specifications and design intent.
- Conduct site visits to monitor installation quality and address field conditions.
- Assist in resolving construction-related issues, RFIs, and installation challenges.
- Maintain project records and document installation progress.
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with consultants, architects, designers, contractors, manufacturers, and clients.
- Participate in project meetings and provide support during design and construction phases.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules and deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Interior Design, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 3-8 years of experience in construction administration, architectural documentation, design coordination, or a related field.
- Experience developing construction drawing packages including floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, and installation details.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation and project coordination processes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.

- Comparable CAD and 3D modeling platforms
Visualization & Modeling
- Experience creating renderings and presentation-quality visualizations
- Familiarity with LiDAR-based modeling workflows and point-cloud data preferred

- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with acoustical products, specialty ceilings, wall panels, architectural finishes, or related building systems.
- Familiarity with acoustical treatment installation and coordination.
- Experience reviewing shop drawings, submittals, and construction specifications.
- Knowledge of commercial, residential, healthcare, education, hospitality, or institutional projects.
- Experience coordinating directly with manufacturers, vendors, and installation contractors.
- Understanding of construction sequencing and field coordination practices.
