🏗️ The Role
As a Construction Manager II, you'll act as the owner's representative / contractor interface, leading projects from pre-construction through to closeout. You'll take ownership of scope, schedule, budget, quality, and stakeholder coordination on complex mission-critical builds.
This is a hands-on leadership role, combining field oversight with high-level project coordination and client interaction.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Coordination
- Act as the central point of coordination across architects, engineers, contractors, and client stakeholders
- Lead meetings, manage contracts, and drive issue resolution
- Oversee project delivery from design through commissioning and handover
- Monitor schedule and cost drivers, proactively managing risks and change
Construction & Field Oversight
- Track RFIs, submittals, and construction progress
- Ensure installations meet design intent, specifications, and safety standards
- Maintain quality, compliance, and commissioning alignment across all trades
- Drive closeout processes and documentation
Reporting & Client Management
- Deliver clear, concise updates on progress, risks, and priorities
- Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor
- Present project data, KPIs, and progress in a structured format
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Utilise digital tools and AI-driven workflows to improve delivery efficiency
- Contribute to process improvements and adoption of new technologies

- Experience delivering mission-critical projects (data centers highly preferred)
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and commissioning processes
- Proven ability to manage complex construction projects with multiple stakeholders
- Experience with tools like Procore and MS Office suite
- Excellent communication skills-comfortable representing the owner/client
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure environments
🎓 Background
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
OR - Hands-on technical experience (mechanical/electrical/controls) + relevant project experience
- ~7+ years total experience in construction / mission-critical environments
✈️ Travel
- 75-100% travel across the U.S. (long-term project assignments available)
- Relocation support provided where required
