Construction Manager
Our top regional client is looking to bring on an experienced construction leader to manage and oversee municipal infrastructure projects throughout Southern Wisconsin. Based near Burlington, this field-based role involves direct coordination of public works projects-from planning through completion-across a range of urban and rural environments.
Responsibilities:
Lead daily operations at project sites, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Supervise and allocate field staff; provide on-site direction and support.
Handle contract administration, including pay applications, material submittals, and change orders.
Respond to public inquiries and concerns related to active construction.
Maintain organized documentation: daily reports, meeting minutes, approvals, and financial tracking.
Review and coordinate field testing, repairs, and inspections.
Assist with project close-out and contractor negotiations.
Monitor team timesheets and resource use.
What You Bring:
10+ years in construction, ideally transportation or infrastructure-focused.
Familiarity with municipal or government-led projects preferred.
Strong communication skills with residents, agencies, and teams.
Able to manage multiple tasks in dynamic environments.
Proficient with smartphones and basic digital tools.
Willingness to travel across Southeastern Wisconsin.
