Overview
We are partnering with a leading, fast-growing carbon markets platform to support the expansion of its commercial team in Asia.
This role sits at the forefront of the business, responsible for driving enterprise partnerships and revenue growth across the region. You will own the full sales cycle, working closely with corporates on their decarbonisation strategies and helping structure carbon credit solutions aligned to their needs.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Pipeline Growth
- Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of enterprise clients across Asia
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through:
- Direct outreach
- Referrals and partnerships
- Market positioning initiatives
- Drive customer acquisition and long-term revenue growth
Sales Execution & Deal Management
- Own the full end-to-end sales cycle, including:
- Prospecting and qualification
- Proposal development
- Commercial negotiation
- Deal closure
- Structure and present tailored carbon solutions and commercial offerings
- Maintain strong visibility and discipline across pipeline, forecasting, and deal progression
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build relationships with C-level stakeholders and decision-makers across corporates
- Advise clients on:
- Decarbonisation strategies
- Carbon credit procurement
- Market dynamics and integrity considerations
- Drive account expansion through:
- New use cases
- Follow-on opportunities
- Multi-year partnerships
Market Positioning & Strategy
- Develop a strong understanding of:
- Carbon markets and project pathways
- Buyer preferences and procurement trends
- Integrity and quality considerations
- Articulate the platform's value proposition in a clear, compelling manner
- Contribute to broader go-to-market and account strategy development across Asia
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams across:
- Investment
- Portfolio / asset management
- Carbon science
- Strategy
- Align client needs with available supply and portfolio capabilities
Candidate Profile
Experience
- 7-12+ years of experience in:
- Business development / sales / commercial roles
- Ideally within carbon markets, commodities, energy, or sustainability solutions
- Proven track record of:
- Managing enterprise relationships
- Driving revenue and closing complex deals
Commercial & Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of:
- Carbon markets (voluntary and/or compliance)
- Decarbonisation challenges facing corporates
- Experience structuring and negotiating:
- Commercial agreements
- Long-term deals or partnerships
- Ability to translate technical concepts into commercial value propositions
Stakeholder & Personal Profile
- Strong communicator with experience engaging senior stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable building from the ground up
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
