Location: Southeast Michigan
Experience: 3-8 Years

A growing environmental and occupational health consulting firm is seeking a Mid-Level Industrial Hygienist to support a diverse portfolio of industrial, commercial, institutional, and public-sector projects throughout Michigan.

This position offers a blend of field work, client interaction, technical reporting, and project management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who enjoys working directly with clients, conducting field assessments, and developing practical solutions to workplace health and safety challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct industrial hygiene assessments and exposure monitoring programs

  • Perform air sampling, noise monitoring, and occupational exposure evaluations

  • Complete asbestos, lead, mold, and indoor air quality investigations

  • Conduct site inspections and assist with regulatory compliance assessments

  • Prepare technical reports, data summaries, and client deliverables

  • Manage project schedules, field activities, and client communications

  • Coordinate with contractors, facility managers, and regulatory agencies

  • Support proposal development and project planning efforts

  • Maintain field equipment and ensure proper documentation of sampling activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field

  • 3-8 years of industrial hygiene or environmental consulting experience

  • Experience with exposure assessments, air monitoring, and workplace evaluations

  • Knowledge of OSHA, MIOSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations

  • Strong technical writing and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Michigan

Preferred Qualifications

  • CIH, CSP, or progress toward certification

  • Asbestos, lead, mold, or radon credentials

  • 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification

  • Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, or commercial clients

  • Environmental compliance experience is a plus
