A respected and growing consulting engineering firm is seeking a Mechanical / HVAC Design Engineer to join its team in either New York City or Pennsylvania. The Mechanical / HVAC Design Engineer will be responsible for:
- Designing HVAC and mechanical systems for healthcare, commercial, and institutional facilities
- Preparing construction documents including drawings, specifications, and calculations
- Coordinating closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions
- Supporting projects from early design through construction phase services
- Ensuring compliance with industry codes, standards, and client requirements
- Conducting site visits and assisting with field investigations as needed
The Mechanical / HVAC Design Engineer should have the following:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in mechanical or HVAC system design
- Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with industry design tools
- Exposure to healthcare projects is preferred
- PE license is a plus but not required
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
