Project Manager - Commercial & Industrial Solar
Location: Atlanta, GA or Illinois (Hybrid/Remote Flexibility)
Travel: ~20%
A well-capitalized and rapidly growing renewable energy platform is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the execution of its expanding portfolio of commercial & industrial solar projects.
This role offers the opportunity to take on end-to-end ownership of projects, working across internal functions and external partners to drive successful delivery. The organization operates with a lean structure, providing senior-level professionals with high visibility, autonomy, and influence across project execution and strategic decision-making.
The position can be based in Atlanta, GA or Illinois, with flexibility for remote work. There is a preference for candidates based in or near Atlanta, particularly where periodic in-office collaboration may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of commercial & industrial solar projects from pre-construction through commissioning
- Own project performance including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management
- Interface with EPC partners, consultants, utilities, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery
- Drive cross-functional coordination across engineering, procurement, and construction teams
- Proactively identify and resolve project risks, ensuring timelines and financial targets are maintained
- Provide regular reporting and updates to internal leadership
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing C&I or utility-scale solar projects
- Strong command of project lifecycle execution, including pre-construction and construction phases
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple stakeholders simultaneously
- Experience working with EPC contractors and external vendors
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
