About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering design efforts for utility-scale solar and energy storage facilities.
- Perform engineering analyses including load studies, system calculations, short-circuit evaluations, and power system modeling.
- Prepare and review technical deliverables, engineering reports, specifications, and construction documents.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements, including NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and related industry guidelines.
- Review, approve, and seal engineering documents when required by licensure.
- Coordinate closely with project stakeholders, design teams, and external partners throughout project development and execution.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and engineering staff.
- Assist with technical proposals, project pursuits, and business development initiatives.
- Participate in field visits and site assessments as project needs require.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Eight or more years of electrical engineering experience, preferably within power systems, utilities, or renewable energy industries.
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical design principles and engineering best practices.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel periodically for project-related activities.
- Interest in renewable energy technologies and sustainable infrastructure solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience supporting renewable generation, energy storage, or utility infrastructure projects.
- Background in engineering consulting environments.
- Knowledge of power system analysis software and modeling tools.
- Active participation in professional engineering organizations or industry associations.
