This is a high-impact, leadership-focused role designed for a proven seller-doer who can expand market presence, lead teams, and deliver complex technical solutions across diverse client sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategy
- Lead national growth strategy for air quality services across public and private sector clients
- Identify and capture new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic pursuits
- Develop and present winning proposals and secure major project awards
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
- Monitor regulatory trends and position the practice for emerging opportunities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee successful delivery of air quality projects, ensuring quality, profitability, and client satisfaction
- Drive continuous improvement and best practices across teams and projects
- Manage financial performance, staffing, and risk across a portfolio of work
Team & Practice Development
- Lead and mentor a team of technical professionals, project managers, and client-facing consultants
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and development of high-performing staff
- Expand and evolve service offerings to meet market demand
- Align team performance with broader organizational goals
Client Engagement
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients across industries such as energy, manufacturing, infrastructure, and industrial sectors
- Translate complex regulatory and technical challenges into practical, business-focused solutions
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 15+ years of experience in air quality consulting, permitting, and compliance
- Demonstrated success in business development and revenue growth
- Strong background in permitting, dispersion modeling, emissions testing, and regulatory strategy
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and large project portfolios
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills
- Familiarity with federal and state regulatory agencies
