We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience to join our dynamic team in Chicago, IL. This role is ideal for a licensed engineer who thrives in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality, sustainable design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for buildings and infrastructure projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
- Prepare construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements and industry standards.
- Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other disciplines to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
- Conduct site visits, field inspections, and assessments to support design and construction phases.
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide technical support during construction.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience in building systems design.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, IBC, and other applicable codes and standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED-certified projects.
- Familiarity with lighting calculation software (e.g., AGi32) and power analysis tools.
