Location: Nashville, TN
We're seeking an experienced Senior Geologist to lead site investigation and remediation projects from characterization through regulatory closure. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone ready to own project delivery, mentor junior staff, and serve as a trusted point of contact for clients and regulators.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute soil, groundwater, and soil vapor investigations, including field program design, drilling oversight, well installation, sampling, and subsurface characterization.
- Manage remediation projects across the full lifecycle-work plans, budgets, schedules, technical reporting, and regulatory deliverables under state and federal programs (RCRA, CERCLA, LUST, brownfields).
- Serve as technical reviewer and signatory on reports and deliverables, ensuring quality, defensibility, and compliance.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams to keep projects on scope, on budget, and on schedule.
- Mentor and develop junior geologists and field staff, and support proposal development and ongoing client relationships.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of environmental consulting experience focused on site investigation and remediation.
- Professional Geologist (PG) license required, or the ability to obtain licensure within one year.
- Proven experience managing field programs, budgets, and regulatory-driven deliverables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and interface directly with clients and regulators.
- Experience managing existing client relationships and expectations.
