About the Opportunity
A leading energy infrastructure organization is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Project Development to help advance a portfolio of large-scale energy and grid modernization projects across the Northeast.
This individual will play a critical role in shaping and executing development strategies for complex infrastructure initiatives from concept through readiness for execution. The position requires strong cross-functional leadership and the ability to navigate technical, regulatory, stakeholder, environmental, and commercial considerations throughout the early stages of project development.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a portfolio of large-scale energy infrastructure projects from early-stage planning through execution readiness.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, permitting, environmental, regulatory, real estate, legal, procurement, community engagement, finance, and project management.
- Drive project development strategies, schedules, milestones, and risk management processes.
- Support siting, permitting, stakeholder engagement, and public outreach efforts.
- Facilitate alignment among internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Evaluate development opportunities and strategic alternatives to advance project objectives.
- Develop project metrics, budgets, schedules, and reporting frameworks.
- Present project updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Support engagement with regulatory agencies, municipalities, community stakeholders, and industry organizations.
- Ensure projects align with corporate objectives, regulatory requirements, and long-term infrastructure planning initiatives.
Ideal Background
- 10+ years of experience in energy project development, infrastructure development, or related industries.
- Experience advancing utility-scale energy, renewable energy, transmission, battery storage, or other large infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through complex development processes.
- Strong understanding of permitting, environmental review, stakeholder engagement, land acquisition, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience working across engineering, planning, commercial, legal, and external affairs functions.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
