A well-established multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its growing Pittsburgh team. This is an opportunity to lead the design of complex industrial and infrastructure projects while working alongside a collaborative group of technical experts.
The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy industrial, manufacturing, energy, or water/wastewater facilities and enjoy mentoring engineers, leading projects, and solving challenging technical problems.
🔹 What You'll Do * Lead mechanical design for industrial and manufacturing projects
* Design HVAC, piping, and fire protection systems
* Perform equipment sizing and engineering calculations
* Develop P&IDs, design criteria, and technical specifications
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and clients
* Provide technical oversight and quality control of designs
* Mentor junior engineers and designers
* Assist with project planning, budgeting, and proposal development
🔹 What They're Looking For * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
* 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience
* Background in industrial, manufacturing, energy, or process facilities
* Knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, NFPA, IBC, ISO, etc.)
* Experience leading engineering teams and coordinating projects
* Strong communication and client-facing skills
