Senior Mechanical Engineer | Atlanta, GA (Remote)
A growing architecture and engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership on the design and delivery of HVAC, plumbing, and building systems projects across federal, healthcare, education, and commercial markets. This is a remote opportunity for professionals based in the Atlanta area.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HVAC, plumbing, controls, and building automation system design
- Serve as technical lead on complex projects from concept through construction
- Review engineering calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers
- Oversee Revit and AutoCAD production efforts and quality control reviews
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and client relationships
- Support business development and participate in client presentations
- Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction observations as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 13+ years of consulting engineering experience
- Active PE license required
- Strong expertise in HVAC and plumbing system design
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and mechanical engineering design software
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing project delivery
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Federal, healthcare, or institutional project experience preferred
Location: Atlanta, GA (Remote)
Travel: Occasional travel for client meetings and project site visits
