Position Overview

This is a leadership opportunity for a senior geotechnical engineer who wants to play a larger role in client development, project execution, team growth, and business strategy.

You will lead complex geotechnical projects while serving as a trusted advisor to clients, mentoring engineers, and contributing directly to the continued growth of an established geotechnical practice. The role offers significant autonomy, exposure to marquee projects, and the opportunity to make a visible impact within a nationally respected organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead geotechnical projects from proposal through delivery.
  • Serve as a primary client contact and trusted technical advisor.
  • Oversee geotechnical investigations, engineering analyses, and technical recommendations.
  • Direct foundation, earth retention, excavation support, and ground improvement evaluations.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, and financial performance.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and project teams.
  • Support business development and expansion of existing client relationships.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
  • Maintain technical excellence and quality across project deliverables.

Qualifications

  • PE license required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
  • 10+ years of geotechnical consulting experience.
  • Track record managing complex geotechnical projects and client relationships.
  • Experience leading project teams and mentoring junior staff.
  • Strong business development, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high technical standards.
