An established, employee-owned engineering and systems integration firm is looking to add a Senior Project Manager to its growing Florida operation. This is a strategic leadership role for someone who thrives in client-facing environments and enjoys owning complex projects from kickoff through completion.
You'll lead multidisciplinary engineering and construction-related projects valued up to $6M+, while serving as the primary point of contact for clients, managing project teams, driving financial performance, and helping identify new business opportunities.
What You'll Be Doing
Project Leadership
- Lead full lifecycle execution of engineering and industrial projects
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, procurement, subcontractors, and project teams
- Drive project profitability and financial performance
- Oversee project documentation, reporting, and client communications
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project
- Negotiate change orders and manage contract modifications
- Provide forecasting for budgets, schedules, and project costs
- Serve as the primary client interface throughout project execution
Business & Client Management
- Build and strengthen relationships with key clients and accounts
- Support business development efforts and identify growth opportunities
- Assist with strategic planning and business unit performance goals
- Participate in recruiting, staffing, and team development initiatives
- Support proposal development and help secure new project work
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure resources are available for successful project delivery
What We're Looking For
Required Experience
- 5+ years of project management experience within:
- Electrical Power
- Industrial Manufacturing
- Construction
- Engineering Consulting
- Experience managing technical projects of varying size and complexity
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive project execution
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred) or related technical field
- PMP Certification preferred
- Experience with project financial management and forecasting
- Business development experience
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Ability to mentor and develop engineering teams
