Job Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to support and lead a variety of transportation projects throughout Southern California. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced transportation professionals while taking ownership of project delivery, client coordination, and technical design.
Responsibilities
- Perform traffic operations analyses, traffic studies, and safety evaluations
- Design traffic signals, roadway lighting, signing, striping, and traffic control plans
- Prepare technical reports, studies, and project documentation
- Coordinate directly with clients, agencies, and project stakeholders
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Develop project proposals and support business development efforts
- Lead project teams and coordinate subconsultants
- Ensure quality control and compliance with applicable standards and regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of transportation engineering experience
- California PE and/or TE license preferred
- Experience with Caltrans permitting and submittal procedures
- Familiarity with traffic collision analysis and safety studies
- DSDD package preparation experience preferred
- Proficiency with Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads, or comparable design software
- Strong technical writing, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
Compensation
- $130,000 - $170,000
