Role Overview
As a Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and expanding key customer relationships in Japan, focusing on sales of power systems including transformers, switch gear, and related solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying opportunities, crafting strategic solutions, and driving long-term value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow revenue and market share.
- Manage relationships with key clients in the data centre, utilities, and industrial sectors.
- Lead sales efforts for power systems products (transformers, switch gear, etc.).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and service teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and close complex deals with a consultative approach.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.
- Represent the company at industry events and client meetings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in power systems or electrical equipment.
- Strong understanding of transformer and switch gear technologies.
- Bilingual fluency in Japanese and English (spoken and written).
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset.
