A leading structural engineering consultancy is seeking a driven Structural Project Engineer to support its continued growth in Atlanta and Nashville. Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building projects
- Coordinate closely with senior engineers and support design team delivery
- Prepare calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
- Assist with selection of structural systems, materials, and specifications
- Collaborate with architects and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive design solutions
- Support construction administration activities, including RFIs, shop drawing reviews, and site visits
- Produce technical reports and assist with condition assessments and peer reviews
- Manage project tasks, schedules, and support team coordination efforts
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to business development initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (structural focus required)
- Master's degree in structural engineering discipline preferred/required
- Minimum of 4 years' structural engineering experience in building design
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) licence
- Experience with tools such as RAM Structural System, Tekla Structural Designer, and Revit
- Familiarity with BIM platforms (e.g., BIM 360)
- Strong understanding of building codes and materials including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to quality, continuous development, and mentoring
