Transportation Engineer
A regional employee-owned consulting firm is seeking a Transportation Engineer to join their growing team in the Tri-Cities area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on impactful transportation projects while growing your career in a collaborative, ownership-driven environment.
You'll contribute to roadway, multimodal, and municipal infrastructure projects, working closely with clients, agencies, and internal teams. The role offers flexibility, mentorship, and a clear path to leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage transportation projects including roadways, intersections, and multimodal corridors.
- Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with WSDOT, AASHTO, and local agency standards.
- Collaborate with clients, agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Support project delivery from concept through construction.
- Participate in proposal development and client presentations.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a positive team culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Washington PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- 5+ years of experience in transportation engineering.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, and AutoCAD.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with WSDOT projects and local municipalities preferred.
