Job Description: As a Water/Wastewater Engineer specializing in water/wastewater infrastructure planning and design, you will play a key role in our collaborative and growing water/wastewater treatment, water quality, and process.
You will lead the planning, design, and permitting of new and rehabilitated facilities, including pipelines, pump stations, and storage facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Water/wastewater infrastructure planning and design of collection and conveyance systems, distribution and transmission mains, wastewater collection, trunk and force main, pump stations, wells, storage tanks, water and wastewater treatment, civil grading, drainage, as well as rehabilitation of existing infrastructure
- Prepare construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, detailed engineering reports and documents
- Ensure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects
- Evaluate alternatives, resolve technical issues, and interface with other engineering disciplines
- Perform design calculations, analysis, and engineering interpretation of specifications and drawings, recommending and documenting design modifications
- Resolve questions, plan, coordinate, and complete work as part of a design team
- Perform construction support services including reviewing shop drawing submittals, responding to requests for information, and evaluating change order requests
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in water/wastewater design
- Strong knowledge of water and wastewater regulations and standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
- Broad knowledge of water-related utility design processes and technologies.
- Self-motivated, technically competent, client- and solution-focused.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills, including interpreting complex technical and contractual language.
