Key Responsibilities
- Prepare estimates and bid proposals for paving, concrete, and civil construction projects
- Review plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Assist with bid strategy, scope analysis, and value engineering
- Collaborate with project management and operations teams throughout the bidding process
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in estimating, project management, or preconstruction within construction
- Strong background in asphalt paving, concrete, site development, or heavy civil projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience with estimating and takeoff software preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
