Position Summary
The Executive Director (ED) will lead the organization's mission to transform sanitation access and hygiene practices globally. Based in Singapore, the ED will oversee strategic direction, global operations, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring the organization delivers measurable impact in improving sanitary conditions and public health.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a global strategy to expand access to safe sanitation and hygiene.
- Champion innovation in sanitation technologies, behavior change programs, and policy advocacy.
- Represent the organization in global forums, with governments, donors, and sector partners.
Operational Management
- Lead a multidisciplinary team across multiple countries, ensuring effective program delivery.
- Oversee implementation of sanitation and hygiene programs, ensuring cultural relevance and sustainability.
- Strengthen internal systems for monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
Financial Stewardship
- Manage the organization's budget and financial planning in collaboration with the finance team.
- Cultivate relationships with institutional donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
- Ensure compliance with international financial and operational standards.
Governance and Board Relations
- Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors, providing strategic and operational updates.
- Support the Board in governance, risk management, and long-term planning.
- Ensure alignment between board directives and organizational execution.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience in international development, public health, or WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) sectors.
- Proven success in managing global teams, fundraising, and scaling impact-driven programs.
- Deep understanding of sanitation challenges in low-resource settings and emerging markets.
- Strong communication, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Advanced degree in Public Health, International Development, Environmental Engineering, or a related field preferred.
