Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 Base Salary + Bonus

A well-established heavy civil general contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to join its growing Seattle-area team. What You'll Be Doing
- Support the successful execution of heavy civil construction projects from startup through closeout.
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, project documentation, and contract administration.
- Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
- Track project budgets, quantities, production rates, schedules, and overall project performance.
- Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure project compliance.
- Assist with procurement activities and subcontractor management.
- Participate in project meetings and maintain accurate project records.
- Help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Experience Needed
- 1-5+ years of experience working on heavy civil, transportation, utility, infrastructure, site development, or public works projects.
- Experience supporting projects involving earthwork, grading, excavation, underground utilities, concrete, paving, or roadway construction.
- Exposure to projects ranging from $1M to $100M+ in value.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Familiarity with project scheduling, cost controls, budgeting, and document management.
- Previous internship, field engineering, or Project Engineering experience with a general contractor strongly preferred.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented construction environment.
- Strong attention to detail and desire to build a long-term career in heavy civil construction.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
