We are seeking a Mid Level Wastewater Engineer to join a nationally recognized Water and Wastewater Practice. This position offers the opportunity to support and lead engineering efforts on major infrastructure projects that improve and modernize water systems across Texas and throughout the country.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys technical problem solving, multidisciplinary collaboration, and delivering impactful solutions for municipal and utility clients.
Location Requirements
This position requires residency in Dallas, Fort Worth, or the surrounding DFW metro area.
Hybrid flexibility is available, but periodic in office collaboration and project site visits within the region are required.
Position Responsibilities
- Design wastewater collection systems, pump and lift stations, pipelines, and treatment plant improvements.
- Perform hydraulic modeling and engineering analysis for wastewater and water systems.
- Prepare engineering reports, calculations, technical memoranda, and construction documents.
- Collaborate with civil, structural, process, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams.
- Support construction phase services including submittal reviews, RFIs, and site inspections.
- Coordinate with municipal clients, utility districts, regulatory agencies, and permitting authorities.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience in wastewater or water engineering.
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in the design of wastewater or water infrastructure.
- Experience preparing engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary project environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience delivering large scale municipal or utility wastewater projects.
Familiarity with modeling tools such as Civil 3D, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWorks, or related platforms.
Experience working with Texas municipalities, water districts, and regulatory agencies.
