Project Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Construction Project Manager with specialized experience in pharmaceutical and life sciences facilities. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of mechanical construction projects, ensuring compliance with stringent industry standards such as GMP, FDA, and ISO. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC, piping, and cleanroom systems within regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead mechanical construction projects from initiation through commissioning and turnover, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
- Client Interface: Act as the primary liaison with pharmaceutical clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements.
- Technical Oversight: Oversee installation of HVAC, process piping, clean utilities, and other mechanical systems in compliance with pharmaceutical standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work meets GMP, FDA, and other applicable regulatory and safety standards.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure high-quality execution and timely delivery.
- Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Scheduling: Create and maintain detailed project schedules using tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and commissioning records.
- Commissioning & Validation: Support commissioning, qualification, and validation (CQV) activities in collaboration with QA/QC teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience managing mechanical construction projects in pharmaceutical or life sciences environments.
- Strong knowledge of cleanroom design, HVAC systems, process piping, and clean utility systems.
- Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and ISO standards.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, AutoCAD).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- PMP certification is a plus.
