Project Manager

The company is designed to provide strong scientific services to our clients, with several Ph.D.s on staff. Our size also means that employees won't be pigeonholed as all staff must fill a variety of roles in the company. We provide extensive training and mentoring for all employees, and our performance evaluation process focuses on professional growth.

Qualifications:

1. B.S. or M.S. in Geology/Hydrogeology or Civil/Environmental Engineering

2. A California Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer license

3. Experience designing and implementing environmental investigations and remediation (chlorinated solvents experience is desirable)

4. Approximately 10 years of experience in environmental consulting

5. Experience managing projects and personnel required

6. Strong writing skills (proposals, work plans, reports, communication with regulators/attorneys/clients)

7. Strong interpersonal skills including experience interacting with regulators (RWQCB and DTSC), attorneys, clients, subcontractors,

8. Academic training and professional experience in groundwater flow and contaminant geochemistry,

9. Demonstrated ability to organize, analyze, and interpret data,

10. Knowledge of California regulatory requirements related to environmental remediation and vapor intrusion, and

11. Experience with litigation support is desirable

12. Professional work and scientific ethics

13. Ability to travel periodically

Key Responsibilities:

1. Designing and implementing investigations of groundwater, soil, soil vapor, and indoor air to determine fate and transport of contaminants, to mitigate risk to human health, to design remedial solutions, and obtain case closure.

2. Managing all aspects of projects including budgets, personnel, and deadlines

3. Interacting with clients, their attorneys, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, company staff, and the general public

4. Writing and reviewing work plans, reports, site conceptual models, and other project correspondence

5. Designing, installing, operating, and reporting on remedial systems

6. Evaluating data to support the litigation needs of our clients

7. Mentoring junior staff
