Senior Solar/CCGT Engineer

What You'll Do:
As a Senior Engineer, you'll play a key role in the technical development and execution of energy projects including CCGT, SCGT, reciprocating gas plants, solar PV, and energy storage systems. You'll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive project success from feasibility through construction and asset management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate site feasibility and infrastructure requirements for new energy projects
- Conduct technology assessments and recommend optimal solutions
- Develop plant designs and production models in collaboration with OEMs and EPCs
- Lead technical aspects of the interconnection process with ISOs
- Create site layouts, grading plans, and permit-related drawings
- Support permitting and ensure compliance with technical obligations
- Contribute to financial modeling and manage Independent Engineer (IE) reviews
- Facilitate knowledge transfer to construction teams and support execution phases
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering field
- 8+ years of experience in power plant design, operations, and interconnection
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid systems, and transmission planning
- Familiarity with design codes (IBC, NEC, ASME, NFPA) and facility drawings
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills
Preferred Skills:
- AutoCAD Civil, PVSyst, Excel/VBA
- Microsoft Planner or Smartsheets
- PMP certification
- PE license
