Senior Structural Engineer
We are partnering with a large, nationally recognized engineering firm that delivers complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the United States. This role is based in Texas and is well suited for a senior structural engineer who enjoys technically demanding work, long term client engagement, and mentoring within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
This position focuses on the structural design and analysis of water and wastewater facilities, including treatment plants, pump stations, tanks, and related infrastructure. The engineer will play a key role in project delivery, technical leadership, and coordination with teams across multiple disciplines and regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and perform structural design and analysis for water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Design reinforced concrete and structural steel systems for process buildings, tanks, basins, and supporting infrastructure
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams
- Review drawings, calculations, and specifications for technical accuracy and constructability
- Support project planning, scheduling, and design development from concept through construction
- Participate in client coordination and technical discussions as needed
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers
- Support quality control and adherence to applicable codes and standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer licensure required
- 10 to 15 years of structural engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience with water or wastewater facilities strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of concrete design, seismic considerations, and applicable building codes
- Experience working on projects in Texas or similar regulatory environments
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team driven culture
