A well-established surveying and geomatics firm serving coastal North Carolina is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to support continued growth across the Wilmington market. The Survey Crew Chief will be responsible for:

Leading and supervising survey field crews on boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction staking, and coastal survey projects.
Operating GPS, robotic total stations, data collectors, and other survey equipment.
Coordinating daily field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
Collecting, verifying, and documenting field data for processing and mapping.
Communicating with project managers, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders in the field.
Maintaining company quality standards and adhering to safety protocols.
Assisting with training and mentoring junior field personnel.

The Survey Crew Chief should have the following qualifications:

3+ years of experience leading survey crews in the field.
Strong knowledge of boundary, topographic, construction, and land development surveying.
Experience using modern GPS and robotic survey equipment.
Ability to read and interpret plats, deeds, engineering drawings, and construction plans.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Experience with waterfront, marine, or Waterway survey projects is highly preferred.
