Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Systems & Analysis

Location: Flexible (Hybrid, U.S. Based)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with strong experience in power systems analysis and design to support complex infrastructure and industrial projects. This role involves leading technical efforts, performing advanced system studies, and serving as a key resource for electrical design and troubleshooting. You will work across multiple sectors, contributing to projects that support essential infrastructure and large‑scale facilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and review power system studies such as coordination, arc flash, and system performance analysis
  • Serve as a technical resource for electrical design, system troubleshooting, and engineering problem solving
  • Act as an electrical lead or manage portions of projects across multiple assignments
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and support staff
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high‑quality engineering solutions
  • Contribute to proposals and support technical aspects of business development
  • Utilize industry software to model, evaluate, and optimize electrical systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems and analysis
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
  • Experience with power system modeling tools such as SKM, ETAP, EasyPower, or similar
  • Working knowledge of industry standards and codes (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, etc.)
  • Experience supporting projects in industrial, utility, transportation, or water/wastewater environments
  • Strong communication skills and ability to clearly present technical concepts

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with medium‑voltage distribution systems, substations, and standby generation
  • Exposure to distributed generation, renewable integration, or microgrid systems
  • Familiarity with federal or regulated project environments
  • Involvement with technical publications or industry organizations is a plus

Work Environment

  • Hybrid work structure with flexibility based on project needs
  • Occasional travel, typically around 10%, depending on project demands
