Position Overview
A Denver-based design firm is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to support residential community projects, with a focus on senior living and affordable housing. The ideal candidate will bring strong design capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. This role involves managing interior design efforts from concept through construction, ensuring high-quality, impactful environments that support community well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop design concepts, narratives, and visual presentations (including 3D renderings and VR walkthroughs).
- Lead client and community-facing design visioning sessions and presentations.
- Coordinate with architects, landscape designers, engineers, and other consultants to ensure cohesive project integration.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative studio culture.
- Produce schematic design drawings and technical details for residential projects.
- Select materials and finishes aligned with project goals and budget constraints.
- Oversee the development of construction documentation with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from an accredited institution.
- NCIDQ certification (or actively pursuing).
- 10-15 years of professional experience in interior design.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating work in senior living, multi-family, hospitality, or affordable housing sectors.
- Proficiency in design software including Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Enscape.
- Ability to transition from conceptual design to detailed documentation.
- Proven leadership and team-building capabilities.
