Position Overview
A leading provider of advanced water treatment technologies is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Sales Manager to lead expansion efforts in the municipal market across North America, with a primary focus on the United States. This role centers on direct sales of UV treatment systems for drinking water, wastewater, and reuse applications to municipal clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive direct sales of UV water and wastewater treatment systems to municipal clients across North America.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow market share in the municipal sector.
- Manage and support a network of manufacturer representatives, ensuring alignment with company goals and technical proficiency.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in drinking water and wastewater treatment markets.
- Oversee the full sales cycle, including lead generation, technical presentations, proposal development, and contract closure.
- Collaborate with internal technical, marketing, and product teams to tailor solutions to customer needs.
- Lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, and tenders, including proposal creation and presentations to engineering firms and municipal decision-makers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, utilities, consultants, EPCs, and engineering firms.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive activity in the municipal UV treatment market.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of successful sales experience in UV disinfection systems for municipal drinking water and wastewater applications in North America, with a strong emphasis on the U.S. market.
- Proven success in managing municipal reps and channel partners.
- Strong technical knowledge of UV disinfection systems, applications, and regulatory standards in the U.S. and Canada.
- Established network within the engineering and consulting community involved in public infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and applicable standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently to meet sales targets.
- Willingness to travel across North America as required.
