Superintendent
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Plumbing Superintendent to oversee underground utility work including water, sewer, and storm drain installations. This leadership role is ideal for someone with strong field experience, a deep understanding of plumbing codes, and proven ability to manage crews and coordinate with project managers and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate underground utility plumbing work on construction sites
- Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and safety regulations
- Manage daily field operations, including labor, materials, and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Communicate effectively with project managers, inspectors, and clients
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Train and mentor plumbing crew members
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio plumbing license
- Minimum 5 years of experience in underground utility plumbing work
- Prior supervisory or superintendent experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, safety standards, and construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- OSHA certification is a plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
