Position Summary:
The Senior Transportation Project Manager will oversee the planning, design, and execution of transportation projects ranging from local roadway improvements to large-scale highway and interstate developments. This role involves managing project teams, budgets, schedules, and client expectations while ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead transportation projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Oversee roadway design and plan preparation for highway, arterial, and local road projects.
- Conduct internal quality reviews and ensure adherence to industry standards and client specifications.
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships through regular communication, presentations, and strategic planning.
- Prepare project proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including environmental, structural, and traffic engineers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio or ability to obtain within six months.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation engineering, with a focus on roadway design and project management.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale transportation projects and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of ODOT and FHWA standards and procedures.
- Proficiency in design software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
