BAS Field Technician

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Building Automation Field Technician to join our Denver-based team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Johnson Controls systems, Niagara Framework, and Distech Controls, and will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing of building automation systems (BAS) across commercial and industrial facilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and commission building automation systems including HVAC controls, lighting, and energy management systems.
  • Program and integrate systems using Niagara AX/N4, Johnson Controls Metasys, and Distech platforms.
  • Perform diagnostics and resolve technical issues in the field, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
  • Conduct system testing, calibration, and documentation of commissioning results.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users and facility staff.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies during all field operations.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in building automation or HVAC controls.
  • Proficiency with Niagara Framework (AX/N4), Johnson Controls Metasys, and Distech Controls.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical schematics, and control theory.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally within the Denver area.

  • Niagara AX/N4 Certification
  • Johnson Controls Technical Training
  • Distech Controls Certification
