About the Role:

Are you passionate about designing safe, efficient, and resilient infrastructure? Join our Raleigh-based team as a Bridge Engineer, where you'll play a key role in shaping the region's transportation network. From concept to construction, you'll collaborate with top-tier professionals to deliver innovative bridge solutions that connect communities and support long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform structural analysis and design of bridges and related structures (steel, concrete, prestressed, and culverts).

Assist in the preparation of construction documents including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.

Conduct field inspections of in-service bridges and prepare condition reports.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including roadway, geotechnical, and environmental engineers.

Support project managers in delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.

Research design alternatives and apply engineering judgment to develop innovative solutions.

Ensure compliance with AASHTO, NCDOT, and other applicable design standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).

EIT certification required; PE license preferred or in progress.

2-6 years of experience in bridge design or structural engineering.

Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD, SAP2000, LARSA) and CAD tools (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with NCDOT bridge design standards and plan development.

Familiarity with NBIS bridge inspection procedures.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
