Bridge Practice Lead

Our growing regional client is seeking a strategic leader to expand and guide their bridge engineering practice. This role can be based in the Midwest or Boston and offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of infrastructure delivery.


Responsibilities

  • Drive the growth and success of the bridge engineering practice through business development, talent acquisition, and client engagement.
  • Serve as a technical authority and provide firm-wide leadership in bridge design, rehabilitation, and inspection.
  • Lead project delivery efforts, overseeing scope, schedule, staffing, and budget for complex infrastructure projects.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners.
  • Guide multidisciplinary teams in developing design solutions, technical documentation, and specifications.
  • Conduct quality control reviews and ensure high standards across all deliverables.
  • Identify market opportunities and contribute to strategic pursuits and proposals.
  • Mentor engineering staff and foster a high-performing, goal-oriented team culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) and Structural Engineer (SE) licenses.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in bridge engineering and project leadership.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Deep understanding of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and DOT consulting practices.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • U.S. residency required.
