Role Overview

The Business Developer will spearhead growth in the U.S. micro-electronics market by identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities. This role combines strategic account development with solution-based selling and requires a strong grasp of customer operations, technical needs, and industry dynamics. The position involves close collaboration with engineering, proposals, and execution teams to ensure solutions are competitive, technically sound, and successfully implemented.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting the micro-electronics sector, with a focus on ultrapure water and wastewater treatment solutions.
  • Identify and prioritize target accounts; build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to craft competitive proposals, budgets, and technical documentation.
  • Deliver compelling presentations to customer engineering, procurement, and operations teams.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline data in the CRM system.
  • Monitor market trends, capital projects, and regulatory developments affecting water use in micro-electronics manufacturing.
  • Build partnerships with manufacturer reps, EPCs, and other sales channels.
  • Grow existing accounts through upgrades, service agreements, and new project opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales and profitability goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the micro-electronics or semiconductor industry, ideally involving capital equipment or engineered systems.
  • Familiarity with ultrapure water and wastewater treatment processes used in micro-electronics manufacturing.
  • Proven success in managing complex sales cycles and closing contracts valued at $50M+.
  • Strong self-management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 35%+ within the U.S.
